From a university lab to a national movement.
GreenLite Solutions began as an experiment in a university lab, driven by a passion for sustainability and innovation. While studying Applied Chemistry, our founder and team explored ways to repurpose agricultural waste into valuable materials. This led to the creation of PHP composites — a durable wood alternative made from peanut husks, offering a sustainable solution for furniture and construction.
During the NYSC service year in Cross River State, the vision expanded. Surrounded by streets littered with discarded plastic water sachets, our founder saw a deeper challenge — one that affected both the environment and low-income students. Many children couldn't afford school bags, and plastic waste was everywhere. That's when the idea was born: transform plastic sachets into durable, eco-friendly school bags.
Today, GreenLite Solutions continues to innovate, merging sustainability with social impact, ensuring that waste is not just discarded but transformed into something meaningful.
